Had a good meeting with the team. The P.O Ms. Nadira also attended the meeting, she is very enthu and active.The team discussed the project again and decided to limit their project to college specific. Charted out a detailed plan of action.

My role-
1.to identify resource person/ movie for 19th
2.to facilitate team to look beyond their college in the project
3.to market smile in the college
4.to coordinate with Geeta from one word radio for community radio training
Need help...
how can I inspire the P.O to look at NSS beyond a space for volunteering for students but to build capacities of NSS leaders...
Need a resource person cum facilitator who has knowledge about environmental issues/ waste management... basically can help team explore the issue better...and we have no funds for this so somebody who will not charge us…
ReplyDeletePooja M (YI) and me facilitated a movie screening followed by discussion on the theme of waste in Delhi. We screened- Wasted by We for Yamuna.
ReplyDeleteThere were about 15 students (3 from the core team) and Ms. Nadira. Good response!
Team has planned cleanliness day on 27th. This will have poster making competition, street play (on the theme of cleanliness) and cleanliness drive in college. All participants will wear green. The team will ask everyone who supports the cause of clean environment to wear green the next day.. this way others also get involved! (Thanx for the idea Kanika)
The event for today has been postponed due to DUTA strike :(
ReplyDeleteI spoke with Ms. Nadira who told me that classes are being dispersed forcibly by strikers now so students have stopped coming to college. This will go on for a couple of days… The next date has not been fixed but she said we can have it in mid November.
Hope this is not happening in other colleges!
